Arnautovich is Serbian. North Macedonia’s Gjanni Alioski (Leeds) is Kosovar Albanian. These ethnic groups don't care for each other.
Remember Xherdan Shaqiri and Granit Xhaka - both Albanian - celebrating goals for Switzerland against Serbia in the 2018 World Cup? Arnautovich’s celebration was a version of that, only in reverse, and less elegant.*
Whatever Arnautovich said was caustic enough for David Alaba to actually try to close his mouth. This is followed by a moment where the look in Arnautovich’s eyes goes from defiant to contrite. Perhaps he realized the stage he was on.

Look at this absolute knothead nearly killing half of the crowd before the France/Germany game starts. Silly, parachuting Greeenpeacian. Everyone understands that oil is bad. Grab a bottle of Tysker and a few flares like everyone else and meet us in the tunnel after the game.

This game felt like a final. I called my old coach at halftime. He thanked me for not calling him during the game. I appreciated his civility.
